Divine Mission
"The greatest service we can render to Srila Prabhupada is to faithfully preserve and carry forward the mission he dedicated his life to establishing."
His Journey
His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada (1896–1977) dedicated his life to fulfilling the instruction of his spiritual master, Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakura, who requested that the message of Lord Sri Krishna be presented to the English-speaking world.
At an age when most people retire from public life, Srila Prabhupada undertook an extraordinary spiritual journey.
In 1965, at sixty-nine years of age, he travelled alone from India to New York aboard the cargo ship Jaladuta, carrying only a small trunk of books, a modest sum of money, and an unshakable faith in Sri Krishna and the order of his spiritual master.
From those humble beginnings emerged one of the most influential spiritual movements of the twentieth century.
Within just twelve years, Srila Prabhupada established more than one hundred temples, translated and published dozens of authoritative Vedic scriptures, initiated thousands of disciples, inspired millions through his books, and founded a worldwide movement dedicated to bhakti-yoga—the path of loving devotional service to the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Sri Krishna.
His achievements were not the result of material ambition but of complete dependence upon Krishna and unwavering dedication to guru, sadhu and śāstra.

Srila Prabhupada repeatedly emphasised that he had not invented a new religion or philosophy. Rather, he faithfully presented the timeless teachings of the Vedic scriptures exactly as they had been received through the Brahma-Madhva-Gaudiya disciplic succession.
Through his translations and commentaries on:
and many other sacred texts, Srila Prabhupada made the wisdom of bhakti-yoga accessible to people from every nation, culture and background.
His books continue to inspire readers around the world and remain the foundation of spiritual education for countless devotees. He often reminded his followers that these books would remain the basis of his teachings for generations to come.
Srila Prabhupada envisioned far more than the construction of temples or the growth of an institution. He envisioned a society transformed by spiritual knowledge.
A society in which:
"He described Krishna consciousness as a universal science of the soul, capable of bringing genuine peace, harmony and spiritual fulfilment to humanity."

Throughout his teachings, Srila Prabhupada consistently emphasised the importance of truthfulness.
Truth is not merely a moral virtue; it is an essential principle of spiritual life.
Without truth, there can be no genuine trust.
Without integrity, spiritual leadership loses its meaning.
Without honesty, devotional service becomes weakened.
For this reason, sincere devotees are encouraged to cultivate humility while remaining committed to truth, even when difficult questions arise.
The pursuit of truth should always be undertaken with respect, compassion and fidelity to the teachings of guru, sadhu and śāstra.
The legacy Srila Prabhupada left to the world is immeasurable.
Preserving this legacy requires more than maintaining buildings or institutions.
It requires preserving the authenticity of the teachings, protecting the integrity of devotional culture and ensuring that future generations inherit the mission as Srila Prabhupada intended.
The life of His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada stands as one of the most remarkable spiritual journeys in modern history. What began as the humble service of one dedicated devotee became a worldwide movement that continues to inspire millions.

Srila Prabhupada often explained that a spiritual master lives forever through his instructions.
Today, millions of people continue to study his books, chant the Hare Krishna maha-mantra, worship the Deities according to the standards he established, and dedicate their lives to devotional service because of his extraordinary sacrifice.
His influence extends far beyond the temples he founded. It lives in every heart transformed by Krishna consciousness, in every family strengthened by devotional practice, in every child raised with spiritual values, and in every sincere seeker who discovers the timeless wisdom of the Vedic scriptures through his writings.
The greatest tribute that can be offered to Srila Prabhupada is not merely admiration for his achievements, but sincere dedication to living according to the principles he so compassionately taught—humility, truthfulness, purity, compassion and unwavering devotion to Sri Krishna.
His mission continues.
His books continue.
His teachings continue.
His inspiration continues.
And through faithful service, his legacy will continue to illuminate the lives of generations yet to come.
He lives forever by his divine instructions, and the follower lives with him.
All glories to His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada.
Hare Krishna.

"May our work always remain an offering of sincere service to Srila Prabhupada, Sri Guru and Sri Krishna."
